Can I deploy a hand of the same
strength as my opponent?
No. Unless you use a tactic card to alter the strength
of your opponent’s hand, if your opponent has deployed
his hands first, any identical deployment from you is
considered weaker than your opponent’s. This is
the same as for your opponent (i.e your opponent can not
deploy an identical hand).
What must I do to win my opponent in this game?
You win by being the first to deploy all the minion
cards you have on hand (right hand bottom of screen)
before your opponent is able to do so. The number of
tactics card you have left, and the number of cards in.
the Victory Pile or Graveyard are irrelevant.
How many Tactics Cards are there and can I decide what cards to have in my Deck?
There 1st Edition 'Elven Legends' has more than 120 cards (which will be
released gradually) for you to choose from.
You can choose what Tactics Cards you want in your deck by going to the 'Deck' tab
to assemble your Deck. Note that you must have a minimum of 18 Tactics Cards
and no more than 3 cards of the same name in a Deck. Experiment with different
combinations to see what fits your style and gives you the edge in battle!
How do I know when is my turn or that I need to do something?
When the blinking blue cursor below the centre round dragon
button of the screen is blinking, it means it is your turn
and the 4 phases will be executed for you. To execute an
action, click on the card(s) and then click on the 'Green'
dragon button. Sometimes, the blinking cursor is 'Red'
meaning it is your opponent's turn but yet the centre Dragon
button is 'Green' - this means the opponent has executed
an action and requires you to accept the move. It may
also mean that if you have a Reactive-type tactics card,
you can activate that card while it is still your opponent’s
turn, and interrupt the process with your tactic card.
Why does the timer come on sometimes and at other times it goes blank?
The timer only appears when you are expected to perform
an action, and the number signifies how many seconds you
have left to execute the command. You do not get to see
how much time your opponent has left when it the action
is required of them.
Why is there a pop-up window during the game, can I minimise it?
The pop-up window appears when you are required to select
cards e.g. during the Tactics Phase when you are asked to
Trade a card. You can minimise the window by clicking on
the top right minimise symbol on the pop-up box. Clicking
it again will restore the window - like a toggle button.
How can I deplete my minion cards since I have to draw a card at every turn?
There are a few ways - Firstly, you can deploy more cards in
Duo (2 card) or Star (5 card) mode, allowing you to deploy more
cards than you draw. Secondly, when you win the Initiative,
you can choose not to draw a card during the 'Draw Minion Phase' and
Thirdly, some "Issue"-type Tactics Cards can help you give your
minion card(s) to your opponent.
How do I gain Initiative and why is that important in the game?
You gain Initiative when your opponent "Passes" i.e. he/she did
not or could not deploy any minion(s) in response to minions
from your previous Combat Phase. At the end of the opponent’s
turn, there should not be any minion card(s) on his/her side, so that
when it is your turn again, your minion(s) on the Combat Zone are moved
to your Victory Pile, and you get to choose the Mode afresh during the
upcoming Combat Phase i.e. you can deploy 1 card, 2 cards or 5 cards
irrespective of what the Mode had been before.
How do I view what cards I have in my Victory Pile or Graveyard?
To view cards in these places, simply click on the
Victory Pile or Graveyard - this will generate a pop-up
window, or it will allow you to cycle through the cards in them. |
